I'm busy planning Beau's birthday party, and looking for computer consultant/helpers in the LA area, who would be friendly and nice, not cost a zillion dollars, and be discreet about the animals. Anyone know anyone wonderful in the LA area who does home repair for people with lots of pets?

I just stumbled across these funny travel sites. One is called Take My Mother Please, and offers trips for mature women, and the other one, Menopausal Tours is for women over forty. That's me now, and about three other people on Live Journal.

If you have DSL there's a great video of Davis and Coltrane, and another one of Duke Ellington, at this site called Medium4.com. The graphics are kind of ra ra America but if you click on the launch vToob bar on the right, you can see/hear these great old recording sessions.

Okay I finally figured it out, we're going to go to this miniature golf arcade castle place

and even though the party rooms are full we can have pizza and I'll bring a cake and party bags for the kids. I think it'll be fun. Beau decided that this was what he wanted to do at the last minute. His little girlfriend Juliette is going to come. He's excited because his favorite game, Dance Revolution, is there, and he can play that for hours and hours. I'm worried that Scott will get bored and uncomfortable but I think doing something like this, once a year for Beau, isn't too much to ask.
