Since when do I have freckles on my knees?

My son is really driving me crazy tonight, well, I think everyone is. I'm sitting here with earplugs in my ears and I want to climb the walls or run screaming out the door and down the hallway. Beau is playing some annoying electronic game on the hotel room TV and I can't stand the noise. He can't just play the darned thing, he has to talk to himself while he plays it, then he gets up and slurps his hot chocolate. The click click click click click of the farging controller and the stupid sound of this game is driving me mad. Combine this with the fact that my Mother nearly bashed the connecting door down between our rooms with her rude impatient knocking so she could tell me how she and Rosa got lost driving from next door to here and you've got one pretty irritated Jacqui.

I want out, help me.......

I'm thinking it's lack of sleep and hormonal weirdness, maybe it's island fever, but I don't think so. We've watched every pay movie we hadn't already seen. I was getting so desperate for distraction that I agreed to watch the Brittney Spears movie, Crossroads, tonight, and I think I liked it. Something must be wrong with me.

Hey, do any of you guys know where I can get a driver for my Sony Memory Stick/Floppy disk adapter (they spell it adaptor) the model number is MSAC-FD2M? I downloaded one and it was pretty useless and I've been looking around and can't find one. I want to share my pictures with you but I don't have a (wait a second maybe I do), cable to connect my camera to my computer.

I am soooo tired but I keep thinking I need to stay up late and get up early so I can squeeze every last drop of Hawaii out of this place. I know that's not the right way to be here, so I'm trying to chill out a bit. I hung out at the pool today, read my book, Franny and Zoe, and tanned my leggies. I walked by the beach at sunset looking for green sea turtles and saw some. Dinner was in the room with room service.

I have so much journal catching up to do but it's hard to find the time to spare, I'm either outside doing things or in here watching a movie with Beau, we'll be heading back to Maui in three days and then I get to meet up with my beloved Scott-monkey. I can't wait. He is in for a ravishment. I can't look at one more bride or see any more couples holding hands and kissing at sunset or I'll go mad with love lust.

Love you guys
your temporarily Hawaiian princess,
Jacquio' uku' lani

PS: Where has my journal background image gone?

Today, finally, is volcano day. I'm going to buy a big bottle of gin for my fire goddess pal Pele and we're going to fly over the vent, or as near as we can safely get. It's incredibly active right now. Our timing couldn't be better, people are flying here from all over to see this extra-activity. It was on CNN. I'm so excited, I'm kind of a volcano nut gal. I collect postcards, prints, and paintings of volcanos, tornados, tidal waves and the Northern Lights.

My Mom is being very brave and is going to go with us, but I made her take a Xanax just in case. The last time she was in a helicopter was over fifty years ago, maybe more. She went up in one of the first tourist helicopters in Hawaii, it was tiny and mostly glass. She freaked out. She started clawing at the door, so frightened and panicked that she felt she had to get out no matter what. They had to restrain her to keep her from pulling open the door and jumping.

There are some great shots of this volcano here.
