Help With Code?

Is anyone else experiencing slow Live Journal-ness?

Would one of my wonderful cyber journal pals teach me the code to put images next to eachother so they don't line up one under the other flush left? Please?

I tried to do it yesterday with all of those little icons I posted but it was a mess. This is the code I tried to use, but it was all so goofy that I just gave up. I wanted to line up about four little icon squares per line. I've replaced the < and > with ( and ).

What a crazy busy day. I haven't even showered yet. My phone-fixing-pal Fonda was here trying to configure Beau's DSL for his Mac. (She's so cool, and I'm worried about her. She's losing her vision in her right eye and they think it might be MS. Say a prayer for a friend of a friend?), Little Rosa, Irma's oldest daugher, who we just had the sweetst birthday party for, came down with 101 fever at school. The doggies had their baths, I had much erranding and piddly work to do.

Esther and I have been watching Spanish Language TV and feeling so sorry for people in Colimas who were injured or were made homeless because of the big huge scary earthquake.

I love Latin News, it's better than ours, well, sometimes. Oh what do I know. I'm swamped, gotta go.

Love you guys,
Jac

I love this fabric. But a cruel ebayer named MsSpain outbid me by an insane amount for it.

Maybe Movies Are My Church.

Beau is being such a selfish little shit and I don't know what to do about it. He just seems to care less and less about anyone else's feelings. I am making him go with us to see Chicago tonight because I thought it would be fun for all of us to be together and see it. Plus I don't have anyone to watch him and I don't want to leave him home alone. For all the thousands of nights I've stayed home with him, I think it's only fair that he go out with me once in a while.

I rarely insist that he do anything, well, other than go to school, do his homework, shower, and sleep. I do sooooo much for him. Everyone says I spoil him, and when I want him to just kind of go with the flow and do something that he isn't thrilled about, he gives me so much grief.

God, when I was little I had to do everything my parents wanted me to do, everything. This included church every Sunday, which I hated, but later, when I was much older, I learned that in many ways I had been comforted by going. There was something about the ritual of it, the gathering together of people, the praying, the kindness, the good intentions, the faith and grace of it, that has stayed with me. Oddly, in reaching for comparisons, I've come up with church as the thing my parents made me do, and here I am talking about making Beau go see a movie. Hunh. Maybe movies are my church.

Look, it's monsters and bathing beauties in one card. I love monsters, and I love bathing beauties. Even though it's kind of hokey, I really like it. I'll put it behind the lj cut tag because it's a bit on the wide side.
