I'm taking it easy tonight. We're surviving the transition from Noemi to Saida, it's been stressful, and it's weird and a little scary not having someone here with us all night, but I'm starting to enjoy having my home and my son all to myself.
I wrote a looooooong post yesterday, with all of my choices for The Golden Globes, but I didn't finish it in time so I never posted it. Like Scott, I think it was a pretty boring show. At one point Dick Clark referred to a secret surprise hidden guest in the audience, but it never happened. I wonder what that was all about? Did they plan a sort of improvisational prank a la Jim Carrey?
For the most part I was really pleased with the choices. I was so happy to see Band of Brothers and Six Feet Under get their due. I adored both of those shows. They were/are both so fine. I was also really happy to see Moulin Rouge do so well and Jim Broadbent was so deserving, I wonder if people knew he was Harold Zidler in Moulin Rouge, and played Bridget Jones' father as well. What a great year he's had. He was wonderful in Iris.
