This is the version I knew, and I always thought it was Mother Goose.
There once was a girl
Who had a little curl,
Right inna middle of her forehead.
And when she was good she was very very good,
And when she was bad she was horrid.
But it turns out it was written by Longfellow to his baby daughter, and the very very line is a mistake. Here's the original.
There Was a Little Girl
There was a little girl,
Who had a little curl,
Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good,
She was very good indeed,
But when she was bad she was horrid.
-- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
